THUNDER STORM OR INVASION?

It's Sunday and it's another thunder boomer. And the sky! Did you see the sky!? Several of us came out of Starbucks and stared at the sky. We had never seen anything like it. It looked like another tornado was forming...or we're about to be invaded by Martians.

NEW WEBSITE UP!

My new website, China - The Whole Enchilada, is finally up. We're still tweaking, fixing, and adding, but feel free to stop on by and take a look around.

The site is to help promote my new show, China - The Whole Enchilada (ironically enough). It'll be at the NYC Fringe Festival in August. The show is the entire history of China in under 2 hours.

And hopefully I'll be able to get back to blogging on a regular schedule again soon!

SORRY KERMIT, IT'S EASY BEING GREEN

I know the Rover has posted this (and let me just say, it's good to see the Rover back in stride again. I thought we had lost him there for awhile) but it bears repeating.

This Sunday, June 22, the Sunset-Ridge Waterfront Alliance will host Greening the Ridge. It'll be a full day of music, games, and ideas of how to make the Ridge a greener, eco-friendly community.

Be there or be -- um -- not green.

DADDY WAS A BANK ROBBER

A new Valley National Bank has opened up on 3rd Avenue. Coincidentally, Bay Ridge police recently arrested a bank robber here in The Ridge.

Which begs the question: will the Valley National Bank have its doing business in Bay Ridge cherry popped by a bank robber?

ME REED PURTY GUD IN KWEENS

I found out that the Queens City Council is proposing a nearly $7 million budget cut to Queens Libraries.

$7 MILLION!?

What the hell are they cutting? The buildings?

Last year they cut $2 million. At this rate, all hack comedians are going to have to substitute "Queens Library" for "Polish National Library."
Q: What happened to the Polish National Library?

A: Someone stole the book.
Let the Queens City Council know cutting $7 million from libraries is a disgrace by signing the Save Queens Libraries petition.
