On my way to the post office today I saw that The Lone Star Bar and Grill will open soon at 87th and 5th. Along with the as yet unnamed "
upscale Mexican" restaurant (Upscale Mexican? What, are they calling the chips and salsa an amuse-bouche?) it could be a gastronomical battle Sam Houston would be proud of.

Oh crap... I can feel the pedantist coming on from across 4th Avenue.
If you're going to dip into my second language [and yours, btw], then you should know that amuses-bouche would be hyphenated. And as you used plural in English, the "amuser"-part would also be plural. Oh, but not the mouth part as there's only one of those on us humans.
Damn it, I feel really bad now... and I know you'll get me back big time.
I wonder if they'll serve Lone Star Beer . . .
. . . and Bob Will's Music!
Yes! Red Stegall
Bay Ridge Brit, I'm surprised you said nothing about my ending a sentence in a preposition.
Oh the British, they're so superior.
"High-end Mexican" makes about as much sense to me as "high-end Chinese". No?
A friend of mine said her entire family (kids, mother, father, grandparents) all got food poisoning from Cantina take-out the other night.
Gross.
