One way to improve this would be to issue vouchers tofamilies to send their children to non-public shcools.
Not only would vouchers help alleviate the over-crowding in public schools, but it would also empower families by promoting real choice in the educational options for their children.
Furthermore, by creating a more competitive environment amongst all local schools by empowering parents in such a way, principals and teachers would be forced to improve their programs if they wanted to remain viable.
It's a win for students, it's a win for families, and it's a win for Bay Ridge.
