MCWHAT?

Here's one of the many things that I don't get about the McCain/Palin ticket:
He also expresses pride in his choice of Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska to be his running mate, adding, “Let me offer an advance warning to the old, big-spending, do-nothing, me-first, country-second Washington crowd: change is coming."
Isn't "the old, big-spending, do-nothing, me-first, country-second Washington crowd" the same crowd who spent the last eight years getting us into this mess?

OOOOH they're driving me nuts... HOW do the Republicans get away with running an entire campaign on blatant lies? Against the Bridge to Nowhere, my arse...

And now they're simply copying every phrase Obama uses and claiming as their own -- AND THEY'RE FRICKIN' GETTING AWAY WITH IT........

I don't get it either!

Fortunately some women do get it though.

Sarah,

Thanks for the LA Times link. It's fantastic!

But more importantly, congratulations on your upcoming adoption!! Where are you staying in Changsha? Which SWI is your daughter from? We adopted our daughter in Changsha as well.

Thank-you! Our girl is from Chenzhou CWI. Her DOB is 12.17.07. We'll stay in the Dolton Hotel in Changsha. We are SO excited!

I found your blog after our referral when I was scouring for info. about Chenzhou CWI (you have a post about the snow storms there last Feb.).

Wow! Yeah, our daughter is from Chenzhou. And we stayed at the Dolton. It's a great hotel. Lots of shopping nearby.

Where are you? Oh it brings back such wonderful memories.

If you have ANY questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

We are in Knoxville, TN. Thanks so much! We are packed and SO excited!

BTW, I found that article via PunditMom. Good blog (also with daughter from China!).

We were in Knoxville shortly after we adopted and found many families like ours. We have an elephant painting from the Knoxville Zoo on Michayla's wall.

You're going to have an amazing time. There's good shopping down the road from the Dolton. Make a right as you come out of the hotel. We also bought a suitcase for about $13 there to bring home a bunch of stuff. There's also a great baby store nearby but I can't remember where it is.

I don't know what activities your group has planned but the Hunan Provincial museum is wonderful.

Load up on clothes of varying sizes from Shamian Island. We didn't stay there but visited there.

The zoo in GZ is a great place to go as well.

Don't eat raw vegetables. Don't drink the water or have ice in your drink (Starbucks is okay).

Have an amazing wonderful time!!!

Thanks, Mark!

We are packed up and will leave in the morning (SO excited) - so I will probably log off this computer shortly. We have participated in the local FCC as well as a smaller group of waiting families - they've been a great resource.

In Changsha, we are going to a museum, a mid-autumn festival, Lieshi Park, Juzi Park and Yue Lu Academy.

I hope our baby transitions without too much trauma.

Are you a member of the Chenzhou orphanage yahoo group?
