High School Girl #1: Yeah, disgusting. Maggie lost her virginity to Ben.

It's probably learned stupidity.
I've heard adults yelling deeply-DEEPLY personal miscellany on cell phones in card stores & supermarket produce aisles ... legal/biz support staff on busy buses, loudly yakking about identifiable client-and-company dirt ... people (very unwisely) bellowing their & others' personal info on packed subways.
This kind of loud 'n' dumb behavior used to be the #1 hallmark of tourists -- who lacked NYCers' awareness that "ears are everwhere," and that you must cultivate a careful Indoor (or Mass-Transit) Voice.
But now there's a pandemic of obliviousness and poor impulse control.
This discussion fits right in with your "Google for Porn" search box on the upper right hand side.
They're teenagers... they dont know any better. You're an adult, and you should, but apparently dont.
