AL SAFA UPDATE
Al Safa, the new restaurant going into the old Mazza Plaza, has their new swanky sign up. A note on the door says they will open soon. I can't wait to try it.
Does anyone know if this is being run by the same people? I had a Gyro a few weeks ago from them before they closed and it was the most vile thing I had ever tasted. If this is just a re branding of the same place I'll be really disappointed.
Anyone find it an odd coincidence that all these murders and suicides have been occurring in the Gregory Hotel ever since that exorcist guy started his church there?

Who owns it?

New owners. I don't know who they are.
You might want to do a separate blog post on this:
Re: Dead DC Madam
How convenient.
And to think, she didn't even check into the Gregory.
Joe Ayoub, the recent and last owner of Mazza Plaza, sold the entire buisiness and will be doing something else in the future.
He was a really nice guy with a lovely family.
He has a keen sense of economics and saw how the wind was blowing in Bay Ridge.
It's great to talk with local merchants. You learn alot about what's really going on.
Good luck Joe.
