The Republican National Committee had some choice words for the President:

"As President Obama prepares to wing into Manhattan's theater district on Air Force One to take in a Broadway show, GM is preparing to file bankruptcy and families across America continue to struggle to pay their bills," the GOP said. "Have a great Saturday evening -- even if you're not jetting off somewhere at taxpayer expense."

With this chiding of the President, the Republicans sent a clear message to America: The President doesn’t care about you but we do.

With one more sleep until Change We Need, the internet is being flooded with articles about George W. Bush claiming the title of Worst President Ever. Was he the worst? Time will tell. I wasn't fond of him. The few things, in my mind, the he did right (increasing aid to Africa, aid to victims in Darfur) will be overshadowed by the many things he did wrong.

And the criticism is coming in from all over the world.

Scotland: America is now hated in many parts of the world. The shoe hurled at him during a visit to Iraq last month sums up the anger felt by Millions of people.

Canada: Farewell to George W. Bush, the worst American president ever and one of the worst "friends" to Canada ever to reside in the White House.

Ireland: “W” stands for Worst.

Malaysia: Bush stands to be one of the worst, if not the worst, US president of all times.

Jamaica: George Bush is the worst president in modern America, considering the global crises which occurred under his presidency.

76% of Americans disapprove of w. 76%!

No other president's disapproval rating has gone higher than 70 percent. Bush has managed to do that three times so far this year.

Congratulations, wanker. You've carved out quite the legacy. Mission accomplished.

What a night! What an amazing night. An historic night. America reclaimed herself last night and sent a message to the world that no longer will we be business as usual. It truly was a defining moment in history.

I'd like to thank the man responsible for such the historic moment...George W. Bush.

Without W, last night wouldn't have happened. In the last 8 years, under W's watch, we've entered into 2 wars, we've experienced the worst financial disaster since the Great Depression, our country's image has been severely tarnished, we have escalating costs in health care, W and his cronies ignored the scientific reality of climate change, they stood idly by while thousands of Americans lost everything during Hurricane Katrina, they failed to properly fund our education system, and we have a record deficit. My god, I could go on and on.

It's fairly unanimous that W's legacy is a profound disaster.

But without W, last night wouldn't have happened. We wouldn't have seen Americans vote in record numbers. The official tally isn't in, but it could be the largest turnout in US history. We wouldn't have seen so many Americans determined to get our country back on the right track. (Nearly 81% of Americans think we've careened off the right track) We wouldn't have seen so many Americans determined to seize back our country.

The excitement yesterday was amazing. Never in my life have I seen such enthusiasm about an election. There were signs all over the Ridge reminding people to vote. Most signs didn't say to vote one way or the other, but simply to vote. To take action. To be involved. To once again be united.

So W, thank you. You finally were a uniter.

A new CNN poll says that 75% of Americans are angry, scared and stressed out. That's quite the triumvirate. Angry, scared and stressed out.

Prior to 2008, we have seen that level of dissatisfaction only three times in the past four decades -- during Watergate, the Iranian hostage crisis and the recession of 1992.

Now remind me again, who was President in 1992?

JOBLESS AND NOWHERE TO GO

As George Wanker Bush pushes to keep his streak alive for tanking every business he's ever run, there comes this rosy news:

The demand for unemployment benefits across the country has put a strain on state unemployment funds, with such funds in at least 10 states facing insolvency in 2009, according to a policy group.

Nationwide, unemployment reached 6.1 percent, or roughly 9.1 million people, in August, up from 4.7 percent in 2007, and is expected to continue rising. The U.S. Department of Labor said that in August, claims for unemployment benefits reached their highest levels since 2001.

That can't be good news. Rising unemployment and no unemployment benefits?

Way to go Wanker.

President Wanker continues his quest to ruin every single business he runs as news comes out today that the number of Americans using food stamps will reach an all-time high this year.

Nearly 1 in 10 Americans will rely on food stamps to buy basic food stuffs. In Michigan it is currently 1 in 8.

How little must you make to qualify? Basically recipients must have few assets and incomes below 130 percent of the poverty line, or less than $27,560 for a family of four.

Remember back in 2004 when that 30-second online commercial came out comparing Bush to Hitler? MoveOn.Org (our name is our address) denounced the spot, said it was in poor taste, and yanked it from their website.

The controversial spot used

a tape recording of the Nazi leader speaking while it showed images of Hitler and German military prowess during World War II. At the end of the ad, a photo of Bush raising his hand to take the oath of office is seen.

"A nation warped by lies. Lies fuel fear. Fear fuels aggression. Invasion. Occupation. What were war crimes in 1945 is foreign policy in 2003," the ad said.

Well Republicans were outraged. RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie said

"This is the worst and most vile form of political hate speech. Those are the kind of tactics we're seeing on the left today in support of these Democratic presidential candidates."

Gillespie called on all nine Democratic candidates to repudiate the ad.

God, I can't wait until George Dubya Bush is a memory. He is tanking our country like he tanked all of his other businesses. Our economy is being hammered this week by what the NY Times is describing as the perfect storm.

Almost everything seems to be going wrong for the American economy at once. People are buying less, but most things are costing more. Mortgage rates are rising, the dollar is falling and prices of key commodities like oil are leaping from one record high to the next.

On Thursday, the dollar plumbed new lows against the Japanese yen and several other major currencies; the price of an ounce of gold jumped above $1,000 for the first time; and lenders raised home loan rates once again. Government figures showed retail sales fell in February as consumers cut back on cars, furniture and electronics.

Not to mention a record number of foreclosures, the cost of the never ending war in Iraq, and, I forget, did we catch Osama bin Laden dead or alive?

Exhaustive review finds no link between Saddam, al Qaida

WASHINGTON — An exhaustive review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents that were captured after the 2003 U.S. invasion has found no evidence that Saddam Hussein's regime had any operational links with Osama bin Laden's al Qaida terrorist network.

Probably some left wing liberal media bias study.

The Pentagon-sponsored study of the Iraqi regime's archives found no documents indicating a "direct operational link" between Hussein's Iraq and al Qaida before the invasion.

Pentagon-sponsored!? Oooo, that can't be good. So much for Donald H. Rumsfeld's

"bulletproof" evidence.

So much for Bush tying al Qaida to the ongoing violence in Iraq.

"The same people that attacked us on September the 11th is a crowd that is now bombing people, killing innocent men, women and children, many of whom are Muslims."

W IS FOR WANKER

I've never been a fan of President W. He's a failed businessman and the poster child for "Opposites Day." (Whatever he does, do the opposite and you'll be successful). Among his many failures, he was also the only MLB owner to vote against the Wild Card, which has been wildly popular. When he was elected President, I told my wife he was going to ruin the U.S.

So imagine my non-surprise when it was reported at a congressional hearing last week that the oh so popular war we're in will cost U.S. taxpayers $2 trillion.

The committee was told, among many disquieting things, that tax cuts have never been made during a major war. But that didn't stop Wrong Way Dubya. Oh no.

Nobel Prize-winning economist, Joseph Stiglitz, reported to the committee -

“Because the administration actually cut taxes as we went to war, when we were already running huge deficits, this war has, effectively, been entirely financed by deficits. The national debt has increased by some $2.5 trillion since the beginning of the war, and of this, almost $1 trillion is due directly to the war itself ... By 2017, we estimate that the national debt will have increased, just because of the war, by some $2 trillion.”

The cost of the war is appalling. The cost of American lives is unconscionable.

As Short-Fuse McCain all but wraps up the Republican nomination, I'm apprehensive of a potential President who says 100 years in Iraq is "fine with me."

Fidel Castro, that wacky Communist leader, resigned as Cuba's President. Our own wacky leader thinks democracy is on its way with free and fair elections -

“And I mean free and I mean fair, not these kind of staged elections that the Castro brothers try to foist off as true democracy.”

Yeah, Castro brothers! Free and fair. Just like the 2000 elections here in FreeandFairland.

But in all fairness to Fidel, it was under his rule that the world saw its first truckonaut. Thank you, Fidel.

A RECORD SPENDING PLAN

I really have to hand it to Dubya. Despite all of the criticism about his Presidency he continues to fuel the fire. This is a man who doesn't care what anyone thinks.

Bush unveiled a $3.1 trillion spending plan! This is the first time a spending plan has broken the $3 trillion mark. And what have the reactions been to President Spend Spend Spend? Both sides are fairly appalled.

And since Dubya considers the wars in Irag and Afghanistan emergency spending so the full cost for the wars are not included in the budget. WHAT!? The wars are our money pit and he didn't include them!?

Dubya proposed cuts in 151 government programs, such as health care, community services for the poor, and education. And he still wants Congress to pass those damn tax cuts that report after report have proven will really only benefit the wealthiest Americans.

I'm so glad Dubya was able to take a budget surplus and turn it into a record deficit.

But then again, when Dubya was a baseball team owner, he was the only owner to vote against the wildcard format.

Thanks Dubya, for 8 lousy years.
